Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most important questions about energy cooperatives, benefits, establishment and our billing system.
An energy cooperative is a form of cooperation between local governments, residents, farmers and companies who jointly produce electricity for their own needs, share it and reduce electricity costs.
By joining a cooperative, you can really reduce your electricity bills and distribution fees, gain independence from rising energy prices and support local renewable energy production. It's an economically and ecologically beneficial solution.
To establish an energy cooperative, a minimum of 10 natural persons or at least 3 legal entities is required. Members can include farmers, local governments, local businesses or housing communities. Such a combination of forces allows for joint investment in renewable energy sources and reducing electricity costs.
An energy cooperative can be established in an area of up to three adjacent rural or urban-rural municipalities. Such territorial limitation promotes local cooperation and facilitates effective management of renewable energy production and consumption.
